Springdoo is a means of communicating with friends and family using video and/or audio. You say, 'This is nothing new.' Well, in a way that's true. It is different, though. For one thing it's FREE. They may charge for it some day but I think the intent is to make it ad supported. The best feature is no attachments. Your video and audio is stored on Springdoo's server and persons you send to just get a link to your message. It can be accessed an unlimited number of times until 30 days have passed and then it's deleted. The URL is http://www.springdoo.com so give it a try. You don't have to have a web camera to use it but you do need a mike. A person receiving your message needs nothing except Flash player installed and 98% of all computers do.

My wife and I got our flu shots this morning. Due to short supply last year we didn't get any in 2004 at all. Instead, we followed advice to stay out of crowds and wash our hands often. It sure was a nuisance carrying around that wash basin all the time.
